Who Made You

There are a million mountains that I’d like to climb
To get a glimpse of the heart of your design

When is the last time you stopped to remember that you were designed by God?

Sure, I know most of us have heard it for years – we’ve heard it in VBS, we’ve heard it at church in one way or another.  But, I think it’s important crucial that we stop from time to time to really stop and dwell on that fact.  We are designed by God!  There is no recall on his design.  There are no mistakes in how He created us.  We are designed, made, created, and breathed-life-into, from a loving God who designed us perfectly.

So here I stand, here I stand on what You build
You are surrounded me and the walls will never, ever, ever come down

Do you or I really believe that the walls will “never, ever, ever come down”?

Ok, so maybe momma didn’t love you.  Perhaps daddy didn’t hug you enough.  Your parents flipped their noses up and turned their backs on you.  You had a bad day at work.  On and on and on it goes.  It’s a never ending cycle (which is natural) and, …it ain’t gonna stop ’till we’re 6 feet under.  But how often do we ‘project’ certain characteristics on Him that might make us think that the walls might down?

You build me up like a city of gold
The battles rage but I’m standing tall
You formed my heart like an empire
The wind and rain can’t stop this fire

Read it again!

He built you and I up, like a city of gold.  Not like a city hastily thrown together and built on whatever was laying around.  The ‘gold’ is obviously a bit symbolic here, but the point is still the same.  You were built by THE BEST!  When the battles rage, if you’re not standing tall, you might want to re-realize (is that a word) …You might want to reconsider what you’re made of!

If only I could see it from Your perspective
The beauty and the grace of Your architecture

What’s your perspective?

Is it HIS? …or your own?

Let’s listen to the second verse.

There are a million trees blowing in the wind
Witness of lives already led
So here I stand, here I stand on what You build
You are surrounded me and the walls will never, ever, ever come down

You build me up like a city of gold
The battles rage but I’m standing tall
You formed my heart like an empire
The wind and rain can’t stop this fire

If only I could see it from Your perspective
The beauty and the grace of Your architecture

Of Your architecture
Your architecture
Your architecture
Your architecture

Here I stand, here I stand on what You build
You are surrounded me
Here I stand, here I stand on what You build
You are surrounded me
Here I stand, here I stand on what You build
You are surrounded me and the walls will never, ever, ever come down
No, the walls will never, ever, ever come down

You build me up like a city of gold
The battles rage but I’m standing tall
You formed my heart like an empire
The wind and rain can’t stop this fire

If only I could see it from Your perspective
The beauty and the grace of Your architecture

Your architecture
Your architecture
Your architecture
Your architecture

When you listen to this song, what goes through your head?  …and your heart?

God created you within His Architecture!  And that is incredible!!  But how often do you stop a second to really dwell and think on that?

You’ve seen images and examples of great architecture before.  And, you’ve probably seen landscapes of rolling hills with the backdrop of a beautiful sunrise / sunset.  We’ve all seen images of beauty that simply takes our breath away.  We’ve all wondered in amazement as we’ve looked at how an immense building was constructed.

But wait…

When’s the last time you had that sense of awe, amazement, wonder, admiration, and captivation when you looked in the mirror?

Perhaps you might need to remember Who your architect is!
